The name of our organization is Senapati Prataprao Gujar Shikshan Sanstha, Kandewadi, Tal- Gadhinglaj,Dist-Kolhapur. It is derived from the name of Founder of Hindvi Swaraj Chatrapati Shivaji Maharaj’s army Chief Sarsenapati Prataprao Gujar. co-ordinated Raja Shivchhatrapati college, Mahagaon. This institute Established by Former Speaker, Maharashtra Legislative Assembly, Late Shri Krishnarao Rakhmajirao Desai alias Babasaheb Kupekar dated on 13 dec 1982. Late. Hon. Babasaheb Kupekar’s inspiration and blessing gives the power to this institute. He always thought about rural areas students in Gadhingal Ajara, and Changad. Babasaheb Kupekar opened the door of education in this rural area.
Institute always emphasized on quality, not quantity. In 21st century, the computer age, we believe that our students should go ahead and make their future bright with discipline. We organize seminars, group discussion, visits. We focus on quality, good education as well as organize news paper reading, TV programs, radio listening, using internet etc. We produce student dependent themselves. Our students can take benefit of the college library, study tours, sample papers, case studies to learn, to make reports, improve knowledge. Since last 20 years our college is giving these type of qualities.
