Senapati Prataprao Gujar Shikshan Sanstha, Kandewadi, Tal- Gadhinglaj,Dist-Kolhapur is derived from the name of Founder of Hindvi Swaraj Chatrapati Shivaji Maharaj’s army Chief Sarsenapati Prataprao Gujar. Raja Shivchhatrapati college, Mahagaon is institute established by Former Speaker, Maharashtra Legislative Assembly, Late Shri Krishnarao Rakhmajirao Desai alias Babasaheb Kupekar and his younger brother Bapusaheb Desai alias Balasaheb Kupekar dated on 13 dec 1982. He always thought about rural areas students in Gadhingal Ajara, and Changad. Their Thoughts opened the door of education in this rural areas.
